The City of Fort Lauderdale‘s Government Affairs and Economic Development Division is dedicated to cultivating prosperity for our business community by working and building strong relationships with our partners in the business community.

With a staff of three, we are the primary point of contact for businesses who are in all phases of growth: startup, establishment, and expansion. We also focus on fostering a dynamic and vibrant environment, promoting entrepreneurship, enhancing all small and medium business ecosystems, and expanding economic opportunities and equity throughout the community.

Furthermore, we promote and develop effective and mutually beneficial cooperation between the neighbors of Fort Lauderdale and those abroad utilizing our affiliation with the Sister Cities International organization, the Consulate offices, and Embassies.
