We have a wonderful opportunity to join our CITY Furniture technology team. As the Data Engineer, the primary function of this position is to develop and maintain the data architecture of City Furniture’s Infrastructure System. The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting data solutions at City Furniture. You will collaborate with Architect and Senior engineers to design and implement a corporate data model and data catalog. You will assist with translating business requirements into technical solutions. You will utilize data warehousing technologies to automate and optimize the data pipeline.  You will create reports using enterprise analytics tool to provide business insights.

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree in applicable field

Work Experience and Skills:

Previous 1 year of full time, part-time, or project-based experience working with SQL and relational databases.

Computer Knowledge:

Below is the list of the technologies, programming languages, and software applications that are desired for this position:

  • SQL knowledge and experience designing and working with relational databases (DB2 is preferred, experience with stored procedures and database triggers is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills to work with structured and unstructured data sets
  • Experience with Programming/Development (ability to read code to understand data requirements) Python, NodeJS Experience is a plus
  • Well organized, passionate and team oriented
  • Basic knowledge of Agile SCRUM methodology/JIRA
  • Experience CDC (IBM change data capture) is a plus
  • Experience with Denodo (data virtualization) is a plus
  • Experience with data modeling is a plus
